Google Blog Search

I noticed a referrer to my blog from Google Blog Search earlier. The name rung a bell, but I couldn’t really remember much about it. Blog Search is a great way to search blogs all over the internet. It’s great for finding good opinion posts, reviews, or just blogs similar to yours.

Scientology

I like the Church of Scientology’s Human Rights page. Those links are really useful when they don’t go anywhere…

To see what I mean, click them. An error page is very informative about my Human Rights…

Fun stuff.

Some fun easter egg-type things I’ve found on the web recently:

apt-get moo – from http://meandubuntu.wordpress.com/2008/02/06/this-apt-has-super-cow-powers/
gegls from outer space in the Alt-F2 Run dialog
free the fish in the Alt-F2 Run dialog

The last two were from http://www.arsgeek.com/?p=1996
Just a bit of fun for a bad day.

Liferea Feed Reader

I was looking at some blogs, and found a person who wrote a short review of Liferea feed reader for Ubuntu. One of the points he raised was that no one seems to talk about it.
I don’t have that much experience with feed readers, but having used several, I choose Liferea for my everyday reader. [...]

TrueCrypt 5.0

I used TrueCrypt rather often on Windows when I used it. I know there was a linux version available, but I never got into it. Now with the recent release of TrueCrypt 5.0, Linux has a gui. Especially for this type of program, that helps a lot. Apparently it has also aquired complete cross-platform – [...]
